Uncrucified 03:57
I will not live uncrucified I will not live with heart unbroken With unpierced hands and feet and side With tears unshed and love unspoken How could I live uncrucified Knowing my Lord was crucified With wounded hands he covers me On bleeding feet he runs to save With a broken voice, “Forgive” his plea, With body killed shatters the grave How could I live uncrucified Knowing my Lord was crucified On the day when death demands an answer On the day when justice calls my name I will stand and say you did my dying I will stand and say you took my blame So I'm taking my hands out of my pockets Telling my feet get up and go Teaching my tongue to talk your language Tuning my heart to sing what I know My Christ as you have died for me Embraced the shame, knowing the cost I pledge myself the same to be To take up and carry my own cross How could I live uncrucified Knowing my Lord was crucified

Saved By You 05:08
Wandering once until you called me into your story Nameless, alone, once until you called me your friend Lost and lonely then, and then you came close by me I have been, I am, I will be saved by you Weakening sometimes 'til you, you bring my hope and healing Weary, unwell, sometimes ‘til in you I find my strength Restless, aching sometimes but then, my Comforter you come I have been, I am, I will be saved by you (The same God who raised Christ from the dead will dwell in us when we call out to the only name in Heaven and below that has the power to call us into life eternal, Starting now --- and never ending Yesterday, today, forever) "If ever I loved thee, my Jesus 'tis now" Face to face one day, with you, and all my fear behind me Raised up, unbound someday by you to breathe again Empty handed and free, when you, you tell me my name I have been, I am, I will be saved by you

Here and Now 03:44
Here and now on the road I'm standing ready With my face lifted up to catch your light I've heard your voice, and determined I will follow Answering your call - here and now Now and then in the cold and in the shadow Wounds will sting, sand will shift, wind will burn But I'm aimed for home, I'll pursue no lesser goal 'Cause I hear you say my name - now and then Then and there where the cross will stand forever Justice, mercy, my glory and my shame You have my heart, my Redeemer, King and Saviour I'll lay me at your feet - then and there Nowhere else can I stand on ground more solid Nowhere else can I fall on grace more sure Nowhere else will I try than … Then and there where the cross will stand forever Justice, mercy, my glory and my shame You have my heart, my Redeemer, King and Saviour I'll lay me at your feet - then and there I'll lay me at your feet - here and now

High, so high, above all understanding stands the cross Greater still than all our strength and striving, see the cross Overcoming time's horizon, rising to show the way High, so high stands the cross Deep, so deep, beneath, beyond my longing cuts the cross Piercing to the only thing that matters - fear the cross A sword dividing bone and spirit, then binding up again Deep, so deep heals the cross My Saviour stands My Saviour heals My Saviour reaches for me And he never will abandon Though I may never understand The cross Far, so far, past every halt and hindrance reaches the cross Arms thrown wide over every place and moment sweeps the cross Spread to gather all the seeking travellers on their way Far, so far bends the cross Though we fail, though we break, though we wander He will be, he will blaze, never falter

Ps 121 You will be walking through the noon day glare Because you've got to get from here to there And the heat will be a pillow heavy pressed against your face Your gaze will drop down to your stumbling feet Where your own shadow will be scant relief From the sun that keeps on beating beating beating every place And you're all alone Lift your eyes to the path that makes a way out of the wilderness Lift your eyes to the low green hills not so far beyond Lift your eyes to the mountains that keep you moving ever forward, ever wondering.... Where does my help come from? You will be walking through the midnight black You will feel creeping up behind your back That old scimitar moon hanging above you by a thread Darkness before you will be a curtain drear Hiding and hinting at everything you fear In the corner of your eye the shadows dance a dance of dread And you're all alone Maybe He will send your help rolling down the mountainside like thunder Maybe He will send your help swelling like the ocean up from under Maybe He will send your help with shouts and wingspreads, an angel army Or just maybe, just maybe, just maybe, he'll just send me. Where does my help come from? Lift your eyes to the path that makes a way out of the wilderness Lift your eyes to the low green hills not so far beyond Lift your eyes to the mountains that keep you moving ever forward, ever wondering.... Where does my help come from? ©Ruth Wilkinson, 2011

This Candle 03:44
This Candle I light this candle for Daniella What she goes home to every night She says she's tired, so tired of trying Still she does with all her might Holding a small strong flame of hope against the darkness I light this candle for Mrs. Fischer She'll get the answer any day She says the waiting's been almost too heavy And I know how hard she prays Holding a small strong flame of faith against the darkness I light this candle for Alexander It's nearly six months he's been gone His mom still cries, his dad's still looking Hope he's okay and hanging on Send him a small strong flame of love, They need a small strong flame of peace against the darkness One more candle, one for myself now A little less weary with strength to give With tears to lend and prayers I'm praying To share what light I have and live like a candle Like this candle ©2003 Ruth Wilkinson

We're all walking together up that hill, The day long gone and the bonfire still. Smoke in our hair will be there when we wake, The moon dances behind us on that little lake, Like the children dance in darkness, safe, surrounded And someone's got the porch light on. Walk up that hill, now, sons and daughters, The breeze blows in from off the water, It's been breathed and breathed and breathed again and spoken By the dreamers and the doers and the broken, We're all children on those shoulders riding high into tomorrow And someone's got the porch light on. We're all bricks, we're all mortar, We're all arrows and we're bows, We are sunrise, we're bedtime, We're two thousand years ago, We're all songs, we're all stories, Toolboxes, smiles and feet, We're all paper and we're scissors, We're salty and we're sweet And we're tired and we're thirsty, We are water and we're rest, We are trying hard and stumbling, We're all shining and we're best, And we're building a kingdom, We're setting it free, I am building you, you are building me And we'll work while it is day...

Once again I stumble into recognition, Once again I realize That where I am is a place you've been before me, And you're never taken by surprise By what happens to me and around me In my life and hearts I meet But days and weeks and years ago you started Building in me what I need I see you dancing in my rearview mirror See you grinning at me and my hindsight See you dancing in my rearview mirror See you smiling 'cause you loved me then, You love me now and you love it when I get it right Oh, my aching muscles, aching bones, Oh, my aching head and heart When I'm caught in the middle and in the moment, And I don't know where to start But the stuff I've been through all my yesterdays Has taught me what I need to know To face up to tomorrow and today I've learned I'm learning as I go There are days that bring me trouble There are troubles that take my days But you pave my way with knowing You've been beside me all the way

I hear a whisper deep inside me A song I think I used to know Now it echoes against the silence Of a soul that is far too far from home. I've been carried on the river to this bleak and alien place The songs that used to feed me I've lost the strength to raise My heart beats, but in exile it's a hollow sound - Still… I will not forget your beauty, I will not forget my highest joy I will not forget to remember - The song you have sung into me Lying sleepless where I've fallen Morning comes too soon and so While I can I'll dream of singing And a day I'll be free to head for home I've been carried on the river to this bleak and alien place The songs that used to feed me I've lost the strength to raise My heart beats, but in exile it's a hollow sound - Still… I will not forget your beauty, will not forget my highest joy I will not forget to remember - The song you have sung into me The song you have sung over me, The song you have sung into me

I've got this beautiful stone I've been carrying 'round in my pocket for some time now Picked up this beautiful stone by the road on the way to somewhere between up and down And on a cool night, I wrap my fingers round tight, feel the heat come alive up my arm in my heart flow Noon bright I hold it high to the light, see the world blinking back, every sea and volcano I've been carrying it 'round thinking it's mine, which would be fine But the more I carry it 'round the more I find I've got this beautiful stone that's been burning a hole in my pocket for some time now Wanna give this beautiful stone to somebody I know needs a smile and a spark right now I was thinking of you, How about you So on a cool night, you'll wrap your fingers round tight, feel the heat come alive up your arm in your heartflow and Noon bright, you'll hold it high to the light, see the world blinking back, every sea and volcano And you can carry it 'round like it's your own beautiful stone But the more you carry it 'round, the more I know you'll know That a fistful of wonder is no treasure at all The measure of a treasure’s when you dare to let it go and let it fall Into an open hand Because you understand You've got this beautiful stone that's been burning a hole in your pocket for some time now You'll wanna give that beautiful stone to somebody you know needs a smile and a spark right now And that's what you'll do.....
